Bear beside me here: A slimmed-lower Kevin James, who's really searching type of handsome here (or am I crazy?), plays a higher school teacher who makes its way into the octagon to boost cash like a mma fighter. He's essentially Joel Edgerton in last year's MMA pic Warrior, only -- luckily -- he's still Kevin James, therefore it is an extensive comedy and never a stomach-wrenching drama and rather than Tom Sturdy she has Salma Hayek to wrestle with. Sigh. Another depressing Here Comes the Boom-Warrior reason for comparison: This will make a lot more money compared to under-seen and under-appreciated Warrior. A minimum of you will find no speaking gorillas (that we understand of). Here Comes the Boom (seriously, do people really use that phrase?) comes into theaters on October 12 and it is directed by Frank Coraci (The Marriage Singer, Waterboy, Zookeeper).
